Our studies show that a job candidate’s ability to read, listen and speak are correlated with job success. Moreover, in some industries these skills are essential for new hires. We have developed a battery of tests to address this issue.
The Hire-Intelligence reading test requires the candidate/employee to read a number of passages and answer questions based on the passages to determine their level of comprehension of the printed word.
Our research indicates a strong relationship between reading skills and general cognitive ability. The reading test has been evaluated for validity and reliability.
The Hire-Intelligence listening test requires the candidate/employee to listen to a number of spoken passages and answer questions to determine their level of listening comprehension.
This test has been evaluated for validity and reliability.
The Hire-Intelligence speaking test utilizes our Interview4 technology. The subject is asked to answer a set of predetermined questions on video, using a webcam. The questions can be determined by the administrator, which allows the test to be relevant to the job.
Based on research results, we know that the resulting video gives great insight into the candidate, beyond simply evaluating their ability to articulate clearly.
