Success: Here’s All the Lists You Need On How to Obtain It.

Every week in my search for blog inspiration I run across similar themes over and over successagain such as lists on how to be a better leader.  Another go to subject about which bloggers write when they evidently can think of nothing else is a list about how to be successful.

Most people want to be successful so of course these lists are generally popular, but how many lists do we really need on this subject and how good is the advice for that matter?  Below I have compiled eleven lists on success as your go-to guide for becoming what you have always dreamed.  Proceed with caution.

Basically this post says that if you don’t have the right credentials, improvise by creating something special about ordinary ole you.  Number two provides advice I see often – “risk failure.”  I wonder if my marriage counts in this regard?

Evidently this post is for more mature readers because “drink a six pack” was not listed as a way to increase confidence.  Regardless, their tips on not walking hunched over and taking a shower do seem logical.

Alas even after I’ve plowed over everyone else on my path to greatness I find myself standing in the road before me.  I hit the gas.

Wait a second.  We started with 5 ways, then escalated to 6 ways, 7 ways, and then to 8 ways.  Now there are 30 things I need to know?  Why isn’t this taught in schools?  What is going to sharpen my kids for success more, learning these things or knowing the difference between evaporation and condensation?

So what is the true key to success?  Don’t do drugs?  Stay in school?  Drink your Ovaltine?  Obviously success comes from a combination of doing many things right and not doing many things wrong.  In the end nothing will be achieved if you don’t get off your rear and try to make success happen.  As Wayne Gretsky put it, “You miss 100% of the shots that you don’t take.”

I’m a HR recruiter and this job made me realize that success is about perspective and being strong enough to find always a suitable solution. Success is about being a winner and a winner never quit.
